About Us!

The kennel of Central Asian Shepherds “Mountain Grandeur” was established in august of 2008. The founder and owner of the kennel is Igor Sergeev, dog-expert with more than 20 years experience. The main basis of the kennel consists of two females: Gaplan Pasha Orzuv (Asya) and Vafo Dor Vahsha (Dora). Both dogs were brought from Uzbekistan, their historical home land.

The main purpose of the kennel is breeding of Central Asian Shepherds with the preservation of its basic typy signs (conformation) as well as its hard-working qualities. Only thorough-bred males will be used in the breeding process. The mission statement of our kennel is “Excellent quality, not quantity!”. We want to breed dogs for people who value and love this type of breed. Preference will be given to specialists-breeders and also to those who will apply the dogs to carry out its specific task – working at a farm. In my opinion, at a present day, this is one of the best breeds for working with flocks. Herding large or small cattle, as well as protecting the flocks from predators – here is the main purpose of alabai! In addition, the breed has branded itself as a wonderful protector of home and family. Well-behaving, strong, deeply loving to kids and “its” family while having “its own opinion”, being able to think and analyze a situation – here is a brief description of a Central Asian Shepherd!

Our kennel has found its home in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Half an acre of mountaineous and forrested region, reserved for growing of the young, allows us to raise strong and healthy dogs. Our puppies are in high demand and popular with all of our clients. We value our current and future buyers and we will do our best not to disappoint them!
